The night skies of Maui are some of the best in the world! Because of the way the island is laid out with small cities separated by lots of space there are a lot of locations on Maui to photograph the night skies.
Taking photographs of the stars and Milky Way over Maui is a challenging thing to do but when you get it right it makes an amazing metal print. These night time photographs of the Milky Way were taken at several different locations on the island including at the top of Haleakala, the dormant volcano here.
